Detention Specialty Furnishings

Trussbilt’s furniture products are constructed from materials that meet or exceed ASTM specifications for cold rolled, hot rolled, galvanized and stainless steels. All tubing meets ASTM A513 standards. Materials are free of corrosion, scale or other imperfections that may impair their appearance, durability or function. All welded construction techniques are used with all edges and corners ground smooth. All weight-bearing cell furnishing components meet or exceed requirements of a 1500 lb. static load test.

Prior to top coat finishes, tool marks and surface imperfections on exposed surfaces are dressed smooth by grinding, filling and sanding. All surfaces are then cleaned of rust, oil or other impurities with a multi-stage pretreatment consisting of degrease and phosphate coating, clear water rinse, and nonchromate sealer and RO water rinse to condition the surface of the metal to resist corrosion and promote paint adhesion. Items are then prime coated with a 2-part urethane primer, a standard on all Trussbilt furniture; powder coating and other top coats are optional. Stainless steel components such as tabletops and seats have a universal random orbital brushed finish.
